Students Helping Other Students
This year’s “Jog for Others” event on Friday, May 23 (rain makeup date) will involve seventh and eighth graders running or walking on the CVCA track during their Bible classes to raise money for students who need assistance to attend CVCA. Last year’s junior highers raised $13,000! Information was distributed during the first week of May to your junior high students. Class periods 1-3 were able to get their laps in before the rains came on May 14. This will be a makeup date for class periods 4-9. All seventh and eighth graders that obtained at least three sponsors for this event will be allowed to wear their running clothes on May 23, even if they were able to run before the rains came on May 14.
It is not too late for your student to get sponsors to support them in pledges as they circle the track as many times as they can during their Bible class on Friday, May 23. Students may walk or jog as they do what they can to help us in our efforts to help others.
