MEDICINE at SCHOOL
- Medication should be given at home by the parents . On the rare occasoin that medication is needed during school hours, the student may carry it on their person and be responsible for administering their own medication, as long as the student has secured administrative approval.
- The only medications that will be stocked by the school are acetaminophen (generic Tylenol) regular strength, Maalox/Tums and Sudafed. The school will not dispense this medicine unless a permission card is on file. Each students must have his/her own permission card.

LEAVING DURING THE SCHOOL DAY
- Students who become ill during school hours must come to the office to notify parents.

ABSENCES (Due to Illness)
- Absences are excused if caused by an illness that precludes the student's attendance, by a death in the immediate family or by prior arrangement with the Academic Office. Any time a student is going to miss school, the parents should contact the school office by 8:00 AM.
- The student is responsible for all missed assignments and tests. (For one-day absences, students should get homework assignments from classmates. For two or more days' absences, parents may call the Academic Office for assignments.) Student must make arrangements with their teachers to make up any test they may have missed. All work will receive credit only if the absence is excused.
- Students returning to school following an absence must present a written excuse if the normal procedure was not followed. The excuse must explain the reason for and give the date(s) of the absence.
