Royal Theatre Announces New Staff & Production Schedule for 2007-08
We are excited to welcome Mr. Brandon Davies to the theatre staff in the role of Director. Brandon is a CVCA alum (‘02) and a graduate of Messiah College (06) majoring in Theatre. Mr. Davies and his wife, Jenni (Mellor) Davies (‘02) were very involved in the Royal Theatre as CVCA students. We are excited to welcome Brandon back, and are looking forward to all he brings to the theatre both personally and professionally.
Mrs. Margie O’Brien will be serving in the role of Producer and working with Directors, Mrs. King and Mr. Davies, to head up our theatre program. Mr. Dale Schilling will be returning as our Dramaturg and Drama Coach--his years of experience continue to be a great asset to the Royal Theatre team.
In the Fall, the Royal Theatre will produce two holiday-themed shows; The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and It’s A Wonderful Life. The shows will be presented on the weekend before Thanksgiving, and each will include roles for junior and senior high students. We think it will be a delight for the Royal Theatre to kick off the holiday season this year by presenting these two Christmas favorites!
In the Spring, we will present a full scale musical as is our tradition. This will be an all-school project, offering cast and crew opportunities for junior and senior high students. We have selected Oliver, the adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens tale of Oliver Twist.
