Theatre Season 2010-2011:
The Royal Theatre is excited to announce its performance schedule for the upcoming school year.
In the fall, the theatre will present Twelve Angry Jurors, a gripping examination of a diverse group of twelve jurors who are brought together to deliberate after hearing the 'facts' in a seemingly open-and-shut murder trial case. This drama will unfold on the Royal Theatre stage on Wednesday, November 17, Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20.
Students interested in auditioning or serving on a crew should plan on attending the information meeting –scheduled for Thursday, September 9 from 3:30 – 4:30 in the auditorium. Auditions are planned for the week of September 20 and will be open to all high school students. Information regarding audition preparation will be provided at the meeting. Crew positions will be open to all students in grades 7 – 12.
The spring musical will be My Fair Lady, a show filled with witty dialogue and wonderful music. The story of Henry Higgins’ wager that he can transform flower girl Eliza Dolittle into a high society lady, includes familiar show tunes Wouldn’t it be Loverly, I Could Have Danced All Night, and Get Me to the Church on Time. The musical will run during the last weekend of April, and the first weekend in May, 2011.
A Junior High Theatre workshop will take place in early January 2011. Please be watching for further details.
